Same fortified / metallic sort of taste as the fresh version with less of a fake-malty flavor. More enjoyable only because the strong flavor is less pronounced.

Still had the ‘quickly dissipating taste’ issue of the fresh version, though to what seemed to be a lesser extent. Overall felt just a bit more enjoyable this time around.
Dutch Mill Selected Rich Chocolate (UHT)
Much chalkier than the fresh version, and no semblance of Dairy Queen here. However, the cocoa flavor is very good, the creaminess is strong, and it gets better with each sip.
F&N Magnolia Ginko Plus Chocolate Milk
Tastes like a soy product, or some other type of non-milk product. Chalky and understated sweetness, it’s not offensive for what it is. But I’m not sure what it is.
Vitamilk To Go Double Choco
Noticeably soy, but certainly better than some other chocolate soy milks I’ve had in the past. Metallic and only slightly twangy, the soy hits you abruptly in the aftertaste.

Insanely sweet and fake-seeming malt flavor is too much for even my immature palate.
Love Goat Milk Cocoa Fudge Flavor
Probably about as good as goat milk can taste— there’s a heavy salt and cream combination that forms the base for the cocoa. The cream was chunky and needed to be mixed (and never fully assimilated), probably would benefit from being homogenous.
Dmalt Chocolate Malt Flavoured Milk
Straightforward chocolate malt taste that one would expect, adequately chocolaty and creamy for a decently thin and smooth texture.
Dutch Mill Selected Chocolate Flavoured Milk
Scent and flavor uncannily reminiscent of Dairy Queen chocolate ice cream. Could use a stronger salt quotient, but still a pretty flavorful (and sentimental) experience.

Vitamin-y smell and twang. Sweeter and malty, not a strong cocoa presence at all. Tasty enough for what it is, but a bit distant from what chocolate milk should be.

Darker chocolate flavor that pairs well with a sweet pop. You could convince me that there is a touch of peanut butter in this (there isn’t).

Creamy and almost ‘nutty’— it’s not very sweet nor chocolaty but feels somewhat indulgent and can hold its own.

Fruit-punch like sweetness that is off-putting from the start, throwing off whatever cocoa flavor there is and ruining the package.
Darigold Old Fashioned Chocolate Milk
Excellent combination of thin/smooth/creamy which is difficult to pull off. It is very sweet, and lacks a strong enough cocoa presence to compete with the sweetness.

Chalky, thin but slightly rough, and decently chocolaty. The pieces fit together nicely for an above average drink.

Creamy, but still has the same (almost) minty/paste-like flavor that was present in the low fat version.
Kroger Lactose Free 1% Lowfat Chocolate Milk
Could use a bit more cocoa flavor but excellent balance and easy to enjoy. In a fridge full of chocolate milk, I found myself repeatedly reaching for this one until it was gone.
