Very strange ribbon-candy like flavor upon initial swig. The cloying sweetness didn’t subside with subsequent tries. Texture feels artificially thickened and does not deliver a creamy taste. Grainy feel in the mouth when (thankfully) finished.
Pingo Doce Chocokid Leite Com Chocolate
Thin texture accompanied by a watery quality. Slight malty aftertaste isn’t offensive, but quite a noticeably grainy texture left in the mouth. Sweet enough, cocoa taste is present, but the overall package is below average.
Ucal Zero Lactose Leite Com Chocolate
Overall similar qualities to the other Ucal products but has a noticeable aftertaste just a tad on the sour side.
Ucal Leite Com Chocolate Light
Noticeably less sweet than the other Ucal products, same smoothness and fairly light cocoa taste. Considering the ‘light’ label (30% less fat) the flavor is still enjoyable and isn’t compensated for by dumping in extra sugar.
Cacaolat Zero
Nowhere near as flavorful as the Original Cacaolat (which is to be expected with the no added sugar label / Stevia)— it severely lacks salt, and the sweetness that is present is hard to taste without wincing. It looks the same, and the packaging is attractive, but not to be considered seriously for those without an aversion to added sugar.
Feiraco Batido De Chocolate
Thicker than many other boxed chocolate milks. Has a decent combination of more cocoa and less sweet, but in the end, it was not a memorable experience. There’s also a slight wheat-like flavor.
Mimosa Leite Com Chocolate Light
Slight mineral-y taste that overpowers the cocoa. It has a sweetness but not the most pleasant one. Aside from a cloying sweetness, there is not much else to note. Nice thin texture, but not worth more than a few sips.
Mimosa Bem Especial Crescimento
Very nice creamy taste, quite like vanilla milk. No hint of chocolate that I can detect. Sweet and creamy is still good— by looks it wouldn’t surprise you either as it’s the lightest and grayest I’ve seen yet.
Auchan Leite Com Chocolate
Smooth going down and pleasant cocoa taste. It separates quickly and there is a grain left in the mouth post-swallow. Overall, a good chocolaty experience despite lower creaminess and saltiness notes.
Toddy Chocolate Leite Vitaminado
Excellent taste and texture. Does not taste ‘fortified;’ the salty quality sets off the noticeably strong cocoa flavor. A touch more grain (and less watery quality) than Ucal.
Shakeria Swiss Chocolate Milkshake
Relatively non-viscous but feels very heavy. Extremely sweet and smooth, but not chocolaty in the traditional sense.
M&Ms Drink
Hard for me to drink— it’s so overly thickened to the point that it is like trying to sip pudding. The taste is not anywhere near the effort, either. Cocoa taste is certainly there, but again, it’s not worth pursuing considering the lack of drinkability and unpleasant feel.
Cacaolat Original Batido De Cacao
Strong flavor, viciously attacks the sides and back of the tongue. Very unique and tasty, hard to describe— not quite ‘boozy’ (I wouldn’t like that) but not quite ‘buttery’— but the best qualities of both of those perhaps, if only a little. Sort of like drinking a truffle.
Parmalat Leite Com Chocolate
Very smooth texture, predominant taste is sweetness, not cocoa. It separates quickly in a glass, and requires a mixup. Slight ‘mineraly’ or metallic quality to the aftertaste hinders any further upside.
Gresso Com Chocolate
Pleasant but bland taste, the thin/smooth texture is its best attribute. Not overpoweringly flavorful in any particular direction, but sweetness is the most prominent. Has somewhat of a candy-like scent and feel to it.
Nova Acores Leite Com Chocolate
Rather chalky but overall above average when it comes to the flavor and creaminess. Considerable residue left on the inside of the glass, which is not surprising given the texture and chalky quality.
Vigor Leite Fresco Chocolate
Dominant sweet malty taste that is outstanding. Texture is extremely smooth and it feels expensive. I taste more malt than cocoa, but it is still a very good drinking experience.
Mimosa Leite Com Chocolate
Thicker texture and much fuller flavor than the Mimosa Bem Essential. Has a noticeable saltines which helps bring forth the cocoa taste. Very good taste and not overly thickened.
Mimosa Bem Essencial Leite Com Chocolate
Incredibly thin and smooth, goes down very easily. Has a light sweetness and not a particularly strong cocoa taste. A bland chocolate milk but smooth drinking experience.
Agros Leite Com Chocolate
Excellent tasting with a thin texture. Plenty of cocoa and salt to go along with it, and lower sweetness which keeps the cocoa the star of the show and predominant flavor. Some roughness left to the tongue after swallowing but doesn’t detract from the overall great experience.
