The Creamery at Knob Farm Raw Chocolate Milk

Tastes and drinks very much like its pasteurized counterpart-- it's highlighted by a heavy sweetness (first) and a substantial cocoa flavor (second) that peaks early and stays late. The thin viscosity helps to deliver the flavor quickly and fully thorughout the mouth, which may feel a bit overwhelming for those expecting something a bit more subtle.

The Creamery at Knob Farm Cookies & Cream Milk

A uniquely chocolate-forward cookies & cream flavor, which is a pleasant departure from the typical flavor profile-- if I didn't see the label, I would've assumed this was straight up chocolate milk. It's sweeter than it is chocolaty, and that is the prevailing presence in the early and late stages of the sip, with cocoa peaking in the middle.

Alpenrose Swiss Supreme Chocolate Milk

Much more sweet than chocolaty and has a beefy yet accessible 6% base-- which pays dividends in the highly satisfying afterglow. I must say, this is a very unique experience where there's an upfront barrage of sweet, and you think it's going too strongly in the wrong direction, but the cream quickly wrests control of everything else and steers it back on course, leaving you to enjoy a warm, creamy finish for minutes after the sip.

Le-Ara Farm Cookies & Cream Milk

Tasty and accurate representation of cookies & cream, and certainly the creamline milk more than aids the 'cream' part of the equation, which, in my view, is the more interesting and enjoyable of the two. It's not over sweet, which is a common drawback in flavored milks (C&C in particular), but still feels desserty and worthy of your pursuit if potable cookies & cream is your calling.

Henry Farms of Knox Chocolate Milk

Deliciously creamy-- and that's not only the main focus, but pretty much the only focus. The visuals are fantastic, as is the drinking experience-- it's just lacking a resolute cocoa flavor. What's there is super subtle, and it remains well balanced from a salty/sweet perspective as well, so it's still has a creamy, indulgent feel that you'd expect from a creamline chocolate milk-- just with delicate dusting of chocolate.

Brookshire's Whole Chocolate Milk

Strongly chocolaty and sweet- it drinks thickly but packs a satisfying punch of flavor making the girth seem worth it. In a world of subpar private label chocolate milks, this stuff stands out and dares you not to be satisfied (if not won over) by its competence.

Green Acres Creamery Moo-Caccino

Accurate and well-balanced mocha flavor delivered through a gorgeously creamy base-- I could get used to waking up to this every morning. And having it in the afternoon. Pretty much whenever I guess. If you enjoy the confluence of coffee & cocoa- definitely add this to your bucket list.

The Dairy Stop Chocolate Milk

Deliciously straightforward-- strong, indulgent cocoa presence fully supported by its creamline base and a favorable salty/sweet balance in favor of the former. There's a bit of texture that goes along with each sip-- a slightly chalky footprint of the substantial cocoa flavor contained therein.

Destiny Dairy Bar Cookies & Cream Milk

Nicely straightforward cookies & cream flavor without any of the cartoonish qualities that typically plague the genre. It starts off sweet and then rounds out with an accurate cookie flavor that carries you into the aftertaste that is well-supported and extended by its luxuriously creamy base.

Wright's Dairy Farm Chocolate Milk

Very punchy with a bold and unique cocoa flavor and sweetness that feels dialed a few notches past par-- you won't be confused as to what you're drinking here. Texture-wise, it's fully-burdened but easily drinkable with a mildly chalky footprint on the exit.

Elm Farm Milk Chocolate Milk

Slightly less sweet than the 'melted chocolate ice cream' trope, but plenty thick and substantial to serve as a proxy. Tasty going down and doesn't leave you with excess baggage in the aftertaste, it's a well-built, well-rounded, hefty drinking treat.

Kimberly Farm Chocolate Milk Shake

Every bit as face-meltingly flavorful as you'd expect a 1/2 creamline chocolate milk - 1/2 chocolate ice cream mix to be. If you want to do a tastebud audit-- this will find ALL of them, including a few you probably didn't know you had. It's beefy, densely flavorful, incredibly sweet and chocolaty, and might bring you to an early grave. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Oakridge Dairy Chocolate Milk

Heavily creamy-- perhaps not unlike drinking heavy cream-- with a medium-to-malty cocoa flavor and slightly grassy back-end that comes into its own a couple days after the bottle has been opened. Approach slowly and on a relatively empty stomach-- because it won't be empty for long.

Family Tyme Creamery Mocha Milk

More coffee than chocolate-- but that's certainly no complaint. As one who likes sweet coffee, this is enjoyable stuff with an honest caffeine kick before you can polish off the pint. There's a slight astringency in the afterglow that is noticeable but doesn't hamper the overall plus experience.

Weigel's Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk

Loads of flavor supported by a competent whole milk base-- this is a dangerously easy (and remarkably efficient) way to take in 510 calories! The cocoa flavor is not lost in the peanut buttery goodness-- both are equally represented and not cartoonishly portrayed. Good stuff.

1836 Farms Chocolate Milk

Silky upfront experience with a back-end malt and an almost coffee-like bent to the flavor. There's a modicum of grit left in the mouth post-swallow, followed by a clean, pleasant aftertaste that warrants another pour. This half gallon won't last long.
